Hello "Greenies"
While perusing the Internet, looking for all things green of course, I came across this Save the Dates: October 9-10, 2009, for the 2009 Going Green Tampa bay EXPO. The event is being sponsored by GoingGreenTampaBay.com and will be held at the brand new USF Marshal Student Center. This will be the second EXPO the "Green" organization has sponsored. The first was held last year in April and over 3000 people attended making it a huge success. This year in order to coordinate with a new sustainability conference at USF, the 2009 EXPO will be held on USF's campus in Tampa. Admission is free and open to the public.
Here's what you can expect.
Exhibitors, many fun, interactive activities for the family, a conference that will highlight some of the best green and sustainable thinking the state has to offer and like-minded people from right here in the Tampa Bay community and from around the state who want to share best practices and learn more about keeping Tampa Bay "Green".
To get more details here are a couple of links to check out.

American Express Goes Green With Miley Cyrus Concert Tickets
Have you heard the news? Miley Cyrus is coming to the St. Pete Times Forum on December 1, 2009. And for all of you "green" conscious fans toting American Express cards, you can see Miley and help Mother Earth at the same time. More on that in a bit but first, Cyrus announced her 2009 North American Tour presented by Walmart and promoted by AEG Live today.
Tickets go on sale to the public Saturday June 13th at 10:00 AM.
Now back to the American Express "green" connection. AE Cardmembers will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase advance tickets for Miley's upcoming tour prior to public sale through www.ticketmaster.com/mileycyrus or by calling 1-800-745-3000 from 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 10th through 10:00 PM Friday, June 12th. So you can get the best seats. Tickets are priced at $39.50, $59.50, and $79.50. Prices do not include service charges.
Best of all though, (especially for all of you "green-ies") those tickets will be sold exclusively through paperless ticket delivery. Fans will not receive a physical concert ticket for their entry into the event. Buying paperless helps ensure fans have secure and convenient access to event tickets at the original sale price. And it also is a very "green" thing to do to help our environment.
Here's how the paperless ticketing works. On the day of show, concert-goers need to bring the credit card they used for the ticket purchase and their government-issued photo ID to the concert. All members of the ticket purchaser's party must be present at the same time to enter the venue. The venue’s ticket usher will swipe their credit card upon entry and present each person in their party with seat locator slips for quick access into the show.
Now, since the concert isn't until December, fans are encouraged to visit http://www.mileycyrus.com/ for updated information.
Have fun!!

Welcome To Sherry's Green Connection!
Hello and welcome to Sherry's Green Connection at 10 Connects. I will be sharing with you some of the newest and greenest ways of protecting the environment as we continue the "green" movement here in Tampa Bay. If you have green news to share please let me know. In the meantime, I'll scour the greenest venues around town to see what's new and good for planet Earth. First though... I'm getting a little "lunchy" think I'll head down to the Organic Cafe on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg for something healthy and of course "green". Until the next time stay green!
